Dr. Obaid Salem Al Ketbi is an Independent Director and Chairman of Remuneration & Nomination Committee along with Member of Strategy & Investment Committee – strengthening governance and strategic decision-making. He is a distinguished leader with over four decades of service across military, security, diplomatic, and business administration sectors. He holds a PhD in International Transfer and Anchorage of Technology in the UAE from University of London. He also holds an MBA and BBA in Business Administration from Southeastern University, an MSc in National Resource Management Strategy from National Defense University, and BSc and MSc degrees in Electronic Engineering from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
He previously served as Ambassador of the UAE to Australia and as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, overseeing Homeland Security, following a distinguished military career in the UAE Armed Forces where he rose to the rank of Major General. He also played a pivotal role in advancing the UAE’s global defense and security presence, including his long-standing leadership involvement with the International Defence Exhibition and Conference. His international contributions extend to leading humanitarian and reconstruction missions in Kosovo, Lebanon, and Iraq, alongside active participation in global security and strategic committees.
Currently, he is the Founder and CEO of Dr. O Group Holding, overseeing a diversified portfolio of businesses across multiple sectors, spanning consultancy, technology, real estate, and energy.
With a legacy of leadership across defense, security, diplomacy, and international engagement, he brings a uniquely authoritative perspective to the Board, enhancing its governance framework and shaping the company’s long-term strategic vision.
